About This Game
The Fermi Paradox is a choice-driven narrative strategy “god game” where you act as a galactic gardener. Instead of leading a single empire, you oversee the development of multiple alien civilizations across the Milky Way, guiding them from the dawn of civilization to the high-tech era of interstellar travel—or to total extinction.
The gameplay is a fascinating exercise in cause and effect. You manage “Synthesis,” a resource used to influence crucial turning points in a species’ history. Every decision you make—whether it’s about religion, resource management, or social revolutions—ripples across the galaxy. You might help one species achieve a technological utopia, only to realize their radio signals have inadvertently triggered a catastrophic war on a neighboring planet light-years away.
With over 400 unique development events and dozens of distinct alien species (including humans), the game offers immense replayability. It’s a somber and thought-provoking simulation that tackles the “Great Filter” theory: why haven’t we found alien life yet? Your goal is to see if you can finally bridge the gap between stars and create a harmonious galactic community, or if the universe is destined to remain a graveyard of silent ruins.
